Found in: Choline | Lipids (Oils etc.) | Phospholipids LecithinIn 1845 french chemist, Nicolas-Theodore Gobley, isolated from egg-yolk and brain a phosphorus-containing lipid and named it Lecithin (from the greek lecithos, egg-yolk) now known as Phosphatidyl Choline. Supplemental Lecithin is typicaly made from soy beans and is a naturally occurring mixture of Phosphatidyl Choline, Phosphatidyl Inositol and other phospholipids.
